After five working days of glorious sunny weather, heavy showers and gusts of wind have now arrived just in time for the weekend. It's early afternoon and it's been raining the proverbial cats and dogs over the last couple of hours. Friends John and Bérénice from Walldorf are due to arrive within the next hour or so. They're coming to watch the hopefully rain-free Fasnacht procession tomorrow. As Bérénice has never sampled the delights of Basle, I thought we'd first venture out there later this afternoon. Just wish the weather would perk up...
