I know this is Germany, the country where school starts at 7.40 in the morning, but it really does take the biscuit when you have someone clearing the leaves and debris with a noisy suction machine along the path next to your bedroom window at 7.15 a.m. on a Saturday morning. I know that a lot of my neighbours are pensioners who tend to wake up at the crack of dawn anyway, but can't a job like that be done some time between Monday and Friday?

School starts at 7:40, and buses at about 7:10, in the US as well. What's the time in the UK that leaves you so distressed? But I thought that there were quiet times here in Germany? In the US that would be before 8 am on weekdays, 9 am on weekends.
Don't worry, my post was meant half tongue in cheek, hence the "Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells" sign-off.
"What's the time in the UK that leaves you so distressed?" > You mean what time school starts in the UK? Generally at 9 a.m.
